Our Forum’s entries in the May IBPC
Monday May 3, 2004
The poems selected to represent our Forum in this month’s InterBoard Poetry Competition were written by three poets who are seasoned IBPC veterans: Guy Kettelhack, whose “Dancing in the Dark” drew comments like “elegant structure... well crafted... oblique imagery... melodic”; Terry Lucas, whose “And Deep in Some Nights” brings alive the deep imagery in a New Mexico landscape; and Mitchell Geller, whose “Rondeau” is another example of his deft use of poetic form, not for form’s sake but for art’s sake. Kudos & luck in the judging to all three poets. Thanks to everyone who offered nominations or posted permissions. We'll be back to report when new IBPC judge C.J. Sage has chosen the winners.
