MiPoesias goes from Miami to Maine to California & beyond

Thursday June 10, 2004
from Didi Menendez, publisher of MiPoesias & other electronic poetries:
“The January 2005 issue of MiPoesias, which will be available in print and online, is now open for writers from California and Beyond. It was originally scheduled to feature California writers only, but I have decided to open it to everyone. After the January issue, PJ Nights and I are taking a hiatus for about 6 months. We need a break and this will help keep the publication from becoming stale. Send your submissions to me at didimenendez@hotmail.com to be considered for publication.

“The June issue of MiPo~Print will be the last issue of the magazine. I am going to concentrate on helping Cheryl Townsend bring Impetus back to print instead. I hope that all of you take one last shot at submitting -- use our online submission form. The June issue will be available in print as well as online.”

In the meantime, PJ Nights & Pedro Trevino-Ramirez are accepting submissions for the special New England issue of MiPoesias coming out this fall -- use The Maine Issue online submission form or email your poems to pj_nights@yahoo.com.

And while you’re deciding what to send in, your Poetry Guides advise you to get on over & read the current issue of MiPoesias, guest edited by David Trinidad -- there are reviews of Robert Lowell & Amy Gerstler, an interview with Elaine Equi, and poems from some of our faves: Wanda Coleman, Denise Duhamel, Maureen Seaton, Daniel Nester & Anselm Berrigan.
