Our Forum’s envoys to the August IBPC
Sunday August 1, 2004
We’re proud to announce the three poems selected to represent the About Poetry Forum in this month’s InterBoard Poetry Competition: “listen,” a brilliant stream of conversation carrying all the hesitancies & sharp edges of difficult talk between two lovers, in which Terry Lucas (Bardone1) has embedded a couple of crucial, powerful, graphic images; “Rebirth,” an elegantly shaped & musical epiphany by Pam H. Murray (rhymetimeblue); and “Deciphering a Pantoum,” Jim Dunlap (ecrivain01)’s smoothly ticking clockwork explication of a difficult poetic form. Kudos & luck in the judging to our three poets, and thanks to everyone who offered nominations or posted permissions.
