Poetry goes out on the breath... Philip Levine on NPR

Monday January 17, 2005
from NPR’s All Things Considered:
Levine’s Lifelong Ode to the Working Class
Tom Vitale profiles poet Philip Levine, who’s spent a lifetime paying tribute in verse to the people and places of his youth, in the auto factories and working class homes of Detroit. His new collection is called Breath: Poems, and the profile includes several readings by Levine, accompanied by jazz.
