Prine & Kooser live on the Web
Monday April 25, 2005
with thanks to Michael Snider of the NewPoetry list for pointing out the link:
The Library of Congress has been busy putting out a large catalog of Webcasts, bringing Library-sponsored live events to your home screen. Among the treasures in the catalog is this session in which Poet Laureate Ted Kooser hosts singer-songwriter John Prine. Kooser is a genuine fan, they talk about making poems & songs and about the importance of poetry in American life, and Prine sings some of his most memorable songs for the audience, accompanied only by his own guitar.
