Our Forum’s envoys to the June IBPC
Friday June 3, 2005
We’ve selected poems by two first-time representatives and one old hand as our Poetry Forum’s entries in this month’s InterBoard Poetry Competition: “then the snow” by Unjay (Andrzej Markiewicz), nominated by MarieRavina for “its stunning beauty and simplicity”; “Arizona Muse” by J.S. Lange (Runatyr), quatrains ringing the changes of the lost world of the American Southwest, plucked from a recent challenge by Pixordia; and “Today I Make Polenta” by Vickie Farquhar (MidusTouch), a prayer of mindful domesticity selected from the same challenge sequence by Poetry Guide Margy Snyder. Kudos & luck in the judging to our three poets, and thanks to everyone who offered nominations or posted permissions. We will, of course, be back with the results when Aaron Wellborn has completed his selection of the winners in his 2nd month as IBPC judge.
