Indie poetry publishers: Show off your books in New York
Friday March 24, 2006
Poets House is a 45,000-volume poetry archive and literary center in New York City which hosts an annual showcase during National Poetry Month, displaying all of the previous year’s new poetry & poetry-related titles from all kinds of publishers -- commercial, university, independent, small, and micro-presses. They’ve written to let publishers know that it’s not too late to get their books into the Showcase -- visit the Poets House Web site for the submission form & the address to send copies of your books.
Books in the Showcase are listed in the online Directory of American Poetry Books, “the country's most complete bibliographic resource for contemporary poetry books,” and added to the Poets House archive. The 2006 Poets House Showcase exhibit will open on April 1 “with a special 20th birthday party featuring poetic confections from some of New York's best pastry chefs.”
