Our Forum’s envoys to the November IBPC
We’re proud to announce the three poems that will represent our Forum in this month’s InterBoard Poetry Competition -- one by a Forum poet whose work has often been nominated for IBPC entry, one by a second-time representative, and one by an IBPC newcomer. Our entries are:
- “As Black As White / Dream,” by MaryLee Treistay, an eerie, wintry dream poured into rhymed stanzas.
- “Bird Painter,” Guy Kettelhack’s ekphrastic tribute to his mother’s artistry, filled as usual with his own artistry of enjambment and echoing internal rhymes.
- “Umbrella” by Lily Chan (BlissBuddha), a spare trio of distilled images, voted the winner in our Forum’s most recent challenge.
Kudos and luck in the judging to all three poets. We will be back to report the results when judge E. Ethelbert Miller has made his choices.
Please keep the nominations coming! Whenever you see a great poem posted on our Forum, no matter where it is, come to the InterBoard Poetry Competition folder and nominate it! There are so many postings on the Forum that your Poetry Guides must rely on your help to sift out the worthy entries at the end of each month.
