For Veteran’s Day, Poems Remembering Wars of the Past
Sunday November 11, 2007
Our collection of classics inspired by wars includes poems by Li Po, William Shakespeare, Alfred Lord Tennyson, Stephen Crane, Walt Whitman, Thomas Hardy, Carl Sandburg, Wilfrid Owen, Siegfried Sassoon, William Butler Yeats and Thomas McGrath. For contemporary works touching on the wars of the present day, we can think of no better place to read than “The War Papers” in Big Bridge #12, including the collection of poems inspired by Allen Ginsberg’s “Death on All Fronts” curated by Halvard Johnson.
