Lists of “7 Things You Should Know About Being a Poet” have sprung up all over lately, beginning in November with The Michigan Daily’s publication of Aaron McCollough’s list. Anyone care to distill a consensus from all these, or post another list with the things these poets forgot to mention?

Thanks for the link love. It’s nice to know I’m in such great company.
Here are another “7 Things You Should Know About Being a Poet”: a very funny list posted by Christine Klocek-Lim in response to our list of lists. You’ll be laughing!
I never had any inkling this would turn into a “meme,” but I find it intriguing. In truth, the Michigan Daily does 7 Things lists with all kinds of people (every week, I think). I wonder how many have spawned similar lists of lists (7 Things About Being a Agronomist?)?
