A feast of poetry & art: The new Big Bridge
Friday February 13, 2004
Michael Rothenberg wrote to announce Volume 3, No. 1 of Big Bridge and all we can say is Wow! This issue is an eye-popping collection of chapbooks, beautifully presented, and as you wander through them you’ll be delighted by old friends & new discoveries. There’s so much here: Sarah Menefee’s spare & heartbreaking poem “all along the Tigris River Bend,” which winds down the page in artful dialogue with Nancy Victoria Davis’ drawings, a collection of erotica called “Appetite for Joy,” a Phil Ochs tribute, an interview with Vincent Ferrini, a collection of Australian poets, Michael McClure’s chapbook “Something of India: a time morph” interspersed with illustrations by Amy Evans McClure, and more.
