April envoys to the InterBoard Poetry Competition
Saturday April 3, 2004
We’ve chosen three fine poems to carry the humor, poignant storytelling & varieties of poetic form that inhabit our Forum to this month’s InterBoard Poetry Competition: “Pictures of the Bisti” by Terry Lucas, “Villanelle for an English Professor” by Mitchell Geller, and “The Death of Dirty Bill” by Larry A. Tilander. We’re proud to have these three poets represent us & wish them luck in the judging in this final month of John Poch’s term as IBPC judge. Thanks to everyone who offered nominations or posted permissions.
We collect nominations for entry in the IBPC on an ongoing basis, relying on your eyes to spot the best of the many, many poems posted in our Forum. If you see one worthy to represent us in the competition, nominate it by posting it in the IBPC folder, and be sure to notify the poet whose work you have put forward, to give them a chance to supply the information & permissions we must have before we can include the poem among our entries.
