Tom Friel (BEENTHEREDUN) Donna Willis (Trigger, aka H@rlz) Kristine Karinen (BLUE)FINAL LESSON
I watched
From a distance
Silently
Seriously
Flowers
Laid to rest
I watched
From a distance
Gravely
Ghostly
My children
Take their final test
I watched them grow
I watched them talk
I watched
When they first began
To walk
And now they walk
With tear filled eyes
To attend
My last goodbye
Ive taught them well
They will pass
This test
Ive taught them
How to die
A GOOD~BYE TUNE
shes trying to sing
just enough
so that the air
around her moves
makes music like mercy
that gives what it is
and has nothing to*
forgive...
The people she loved...
Stand looking...
waiting...
on me to leave
go....... as my will to live
Hear me sing
Good~Bye...
my loved ones
In a happy tune
Trying to sing
just so the air
around my lips...
carries....to words
to your ears...
very soon....

POETIC INSPIRATION
Just what is all this talk of quills and love,
Of Cupid, Shakespeares Muse and golden geese?
Not one of those sparks inspiration of
The words you write with practiced expertise.
Perceptions, insight, concepts all give rise
To the emotion linked to your brainchild,
Born of your mind, and then immortalized,
Just a synaptic process, though self styled.
No quills, the words will flow from pencil tip,
Or Bic; no vellum needed, only scraps,
Of paper where youll scrawl your workmanship,
The lure of words of yore -- its just a trap,
This magic feather tale should not be bought,
It takes but creativity and thought.
