Duncan Mercredi

Duncan Mercredi is a Cree, born in Misipawistik (Grand Rapids), Manitoba. He is a poet and storyteller who also writes plays. He has a great love for the blues and hosts a weekly blues radio show on public broadcasting station NCI FM (Native Communications, Inc.) in Manitoba. He has also worked in bush camps in construction for Manitoba Hydro and land surveys for the Department of Manitoba Highways. Duncan is currently a member of the Manitoba Aboriginal Writers Collective, and lives with his wife and children in Winnipeg.
