InterBoard Poetry Competition
Board of Directors

In order to better serve the Internet poetry community, the InterBoard Poetry Competition (IBPC) has seated a Board of Directors. This Board is made up of representatives from participating forums, like this one. The present Directors are:

  • President: Don Barnes, Atlantic Unbound
  • Vice President: Jim Christ, MiPo
  • Secretary: Melisande Luna, PostPoems
  • IBPC Managing Editor: Gina Bryson, Web del Sol
  • Laura Quinn, Writers Block
IBPC would like to publicly thank Gary Blankenship for his sacrifice and help in bringing the InterBoard Poetry Competition to the place it holds today. We wish him well in his ventures at Writers Hood and elsewhere. Thanks for everything, Gary.

Currently, we do have one open seat on the board. One of our directors has resigned to make more time for family. So we need your help. If you'd like your representative to be considered for this position (and if that person is willing), please send a note to dummybox@altavista.com. The deadline for these suggestions is midnight, December 22, 2001.

The future is taking shape for poetry on the Web and the InterBoard Poetry Competition. Keep your eye on what we're doing and you'll see great things happening.

Thanks to all of you who post and participate in the monthly and annual competitions. Keep writing and we'll work to provide you with more incentives and resources.

Don Barnes, President
InterBoard Poetry Competition

NOTE TO ABOUT POETRY FORUM MEMBERS: I've already been asked to serve on the IBPC Board and have declined the time commitment. I'm posting this announcement to keep you informed about how the IBPC is evolving, but please do not nominate me again for the Board. Just keep on writing & nominating good poems to represent us every month! --Your guide, Margy Snyder
