Michael Warr’s awards for poetry include a NEA Creative Writing Fellowship and Gwendolyn Brooks Significant Illinois Poets Award. He is author of We Are All the Black Boy and co-editor of Powerlines - A Decade of Poetry from Chicago’s Guild Complex. You can also find his work in Dream of a Word - The Tia Chucha Press Poetry Anthology. His poetry has been widely anthologized and he has recited his work at venues as diverse as the Universitie de Paris and Chicago’s Green Mill Lounge.
