Zines Pa - Poesy

Painted Bride Quarterly
Painted Bride Quarterly was been in print for 27 years before it moved online in the year 2000. (See our article, “Painted Bride Quarterly Tossed Across Earthside Cyberstoops,” for the editors’ perspectives on this transition.)
Passions in Poetry
Ron Carnell’s compendious anthology of “Poems for the People, Poems by the People” offers love poems, sad poems, friendship poems, poems on life, an assorted poetry buffet & a good collection of classic English poems -- all categorized & some selected as e-greeting cards so that you can find just the right poetic thought to speak for you.
Poetic Table of the Elements
Every once in a while the flashbulb pops on an idea that must be or else the universe is squeegee. There are plenty of elements craving your poem -- here’s your chance to get in on it while it’s open, and cool, and hot, and scientific. (But beware the persistent popups on this site...)
Perihelion
For creator Jennifer Ley, Perihelion was “where the synapse arcs and the uptake is uninhibited” -- highlights are the editors' roundtable discussion of “Life on the Frontier - Web Published Poetry” from No. 1, Anne Perrella's “Voices” in RealAudio from No. 2 & Kate Chenier's “Nomenclature” from No. 4. Ley has moved on to Riding the Meridian & Perihelion will continue to appear at web del sol.
Pif Magazine
Since 1995, Pif has been stocking its monthly review with the work of poets like Rachel Dacus, R.G. Evans & Liam Rector, plus macro-fiction, micro-fiction, reviews, essays & an interesting set of interviews with writers, “One on One.”
the place
You may feel just a wee bit lost when you wander into the place, but you’ll know you are somewhere. Follow your mouse through the “urban diary,” read a rant or two in the “soapbox,” or explore Joseph Squier’s “life with father.”
Planet Authority
Martha Cinader's cyberzine is just the ticket for interlocuting the echolalia! Poetry, including an audio poem of the day & a spoken word CD of the week, storytelling, book reviews & author interviews. Graphics are swell, the site is easy to read and navigate, & Martha has amassed a quite amazing archive of contemporary text & audio poems.
Poems Niederngasse
Poems Niederngasse offers new poems by already well-known Net poets (like Janet Buck & C.E. Chaffin) as well as new poets (& to find them, a contest for unpublished poets) -- but what distinguishes it is that it is trilingual (English, Spanish & German). It is the Web from which is spun the biannual print journal Niederngasse.
Poesy
Founded in 1989 by Brian Morrissey, Poesy comes out quarterly on newsprint & online, from Santa Cruz publisher Morrissey & Boston editor Doug Holder, and is dedicated to linking the East & West coast poetry cultures across the U.S.
