Noelle Kocot — “Bicycle Poem”

After the reading, a chance encounter with the divine

By , About.com Guide

OK, here’s the scenario. You’re at a reading, the reading’s just ended, all are milling, and you spot an interesting poet, this would be Noelle Kocot-Tomblin, and you are chatting away. You stop. “Hey wait, you say, do you have a poem! I need a poem!” And like that, unfurling from her mouth, a sparkling piece of the divine. Surely it’s one of the greatest poems ever written.
