David Ignatow was the kind of poet most poets wish they could be -- his heart-rich poems have been called “deceptively plain-spoken.” The tribute at the Poetry Society of America site, written by Harvey Shapiro after his death, contains both one of Ignatow’s poems & a poem written for him by Karen Swenson.
